I have teamed up with the talented Sunghee Ma for our latest project, an online women’s fashion store we have called One Size For All.
Bringing the latest in women’s fashion to everyone at affordable prices. The concept of the store is to provide an easy means for women to shop for one size clothing, essentially removing the headache that comes when you order something online only to find out its too small or big. Each dress’ size covers XS, S, M, meaning regardless of the shape of your body our dresses can fit you either comfortably or fitted depending on your preference.
A HTML 5 music video by Arcade Fire called the Wilderness Downtown. This is by far the most impressive use of HTML5 I have seen to date, albeit very CPU intensive, the creativity and art direction make it totally worthwhile. View in Chrome or Firefox.
I’m on fire today, 3rd post and counting… Plinks is a weekly newsletter that Pete van Lanschot and myself send out to a group of esteemed readers on Facebook every Friday lunchtime. It’s a melting pot of interesting links from around the web ranging from the digital media industry, funnies and more. Join the group now and keep your finger on the pulse.
For those of you living who do not already know, HTML5 is upon us and updates have been made to cherbz.co.uk so that all you iPad and iPhone users can enjoy the links I post. Vimeo have recently dumped their old flash player, resulting in a lot of the embedded videos on the site not displaying. Anyway, all is good now, I trust you will all agree??
Hello again! It’s been a while since my last post, so I thought I should make this one worthwhile. I’ve stumbled across what might possibly be the most innovative and left field “improvement” made to the user interface and interaction design of the traditional 1′s and 2′s (DJ decks). Not very popular with the purists and professional DJs out there, however, although this may never take off it is nonetheless an amazing student project both brilliantly conceptualised and executed. Awesome.
On May 10th 2010, I officially became a User Experience Architect at Grand Union. Being a Flash Designer/Developer, the arrival of the iPad and Apple’s restriction on App Development sparking so much controversy on the Web, have forced me to rethink my career. So, I thought what better time than now to jump ship and learn an entirely new skill-set. Meet Charbel Akhras, User Experience Architect.
A breath of fresh air! That’s what this website’s interface is! The typography is dynamite, it’s iPhone-like interface takes a minute to get used to but once the initial learning curve is overcome the site becomes a joy to explore. The agency’s work, also superb, does not get lost in the heaps of information and graphical elements scattered across the site. This site instantly became my new favourite from the second I got a glimpse of the first column! The second column is well worth the read too! Great stuff!! Click here to check it out.
